Disarming portrait of comedian Freek de Jonge

Doxy

"How long can I last?" sings Freek de Jonge in the documentary FREEK. The film explores the extent to which the cabaret artist, who turns 75 this year, uses the stage to escape reality. Confronted by colleagues and friends like André van Duin, Herman Finkers, Jacques Klöters and loved ones like his wife Hella, it creates a disarming and intimate film about a man for whom leaving the stage does not seem to be an option.
